May 2015-Cody 14 months old

Better late than never, here is most of May from Team Tyler.  May was crazy...CRA-ZY!  Stephen was finishing up spring football, aka never home, Cody decided it was a good month to get 8, yes EIGHT teeth, and Jake was playing two sports, with 3-4 practices a week.  Sooooo it was pretty much a blur of crazy days and sleepless nights!

Here is Mr Cody on his 14 month birthday!  He is 15 months old as I type this so I am trying to remember the new things he was doing around this time.
He thinks it is SO cool to sit in a 'big boy' chair.

This face is all my dad!

Cody the climber decided to scare mama and stand up in the chair, lightning fast and fearless this one!

14 month tidbits:
-You are DONE with bottles, woo hoo! You are a straw sippy cup kind of a kid!  I'm not going to lie, it's nice to have a good chunk of the top rack of the dishwasher back!
-You are so close to walking, but just not there yet.  You can stand independently and cruise like a champ.  I think you are just a very laid back kid and walking just isn't interesting to you yet.
-You are using baby signs-milk, more, all done, help
-You love to do patty cake, itsy bitsy spider, a peekaboo song we learned at the library
-You were doing better with sleeping....and then the teething started!  A week before your 14 month birthday you got 3 new teeth, two on the bottom and a surprise bottom molar that seemed to show up overnight.  You have swollen teeth buds for the other 3 molars and all 4 incisors so it seems more are on their way.
-You climb, everywhere and on everything!  You are fearless!!!!!!
-You are a morning napper, but still just 1 a day.  It makes the weekends tough, but actually works out nicely during the school week.  You go down around 9:30-10 and wake up around 11:30-12.  It lets me get a lot done in the mornings and I don't have to wake you up to go get Jake.  Hopefully we can get it pushed back during summertime!
-You are still in size 4 diapers and 24m tops, 18m bottoms.

Cody loves this red chair, chillin' in it, climbing on it, using it to climb onto higher things

Cody loves to 'get' Jake and it is so fun to watch them play together!
Classic Jake face

One day Cody thought it was fun to eat your breakfast like this.  He laughed after each and every bite, silly boy!

Crazy hair!  For whatever reason, Cody loves to rub his hands through his hair when he gets done eating, so you never know what you will find in there at bathtime!
Looking like a big boy

Molar teething....his finger was his favorite chew toy

A nice cold apple wedge helped a lot too

Walking with his walker, he hasn't quite learned to steer yet

Another new favorite, but he can only go in reverse :)

This is how he spent a lot of his mornings after long nights with teething problems.

One night at dinner, Cody started throwing a fit.  After a few minutes, I finally figured out that he wanted a fork!  He is so observant about noticing when you have something he doesn't.  I got out a toddler fork and he was a happy boy.  It didn't take very long for him to figure out how to use it.

Cody still loves books....and will do this to his book basket to find the one, specific book he is looking for

Book time

Jake has had some wrestling figures for years now, but lately is very into them.  We never watch wrestling because it's not really kid friendly anymore.  One night dvr'd just the match of his favorite guy, John Cena.  This was him watching it the next day!  He was zoned in.

Walker in action

Oh, and it rained....like every day the entire month.  One day it was pouring when we got home from getting Jake at school.  It wasn't storming, just a nice soaking rain and Jake begged to play in it.  He had a blast and Cody laughed so hard watching him run around in it.

Tyler boys

For a few days, Cody was obsessed with chewing on this pen!

A random, rain free day we busted out for a walk and Jake did an alphabet scavenger hunt, thanks pinterest!

The face of teething
He still LOOOOOOVES blackberries and this is what his face looks like every single time he eats them

More walking

Peek-a-boo

See...blackberries....every.time.
And he still loves to do this

One of his favorite chill time poses
Still teething
He is really starting to lean out and get TALL

He learned how to stand up and thought it was too fun

I know I have some more May pictures on my phone, but let's be real, they will just end up getting posted with June!  :)  May was fun, we are ready for summer!
