First Day of School

My little guy is officially in Pre-K!  He was very excited to be in the 'big kid' class at school this year!

He got to be the Jesus Jam helper for his class on the first day, he was very happy about that :)

He is in the Pre-K class at the same pre-school that he has been at since 18 months (where I work part time.)  He is in the Bee-lievers class this year and my co-teacher from last year, Ms. Rebecca, moved up to teach the Pre-K this year.  I miss working with her, but am thrilled that she is Jake's teacher this year.  Almost all his friends from last year came back so he is in the same class with all his buddies again.  And I think he and I are both excited that I am not one of his teachers this year...okay, I'm way more excited about it than he is, but it's already been great for him.  I know he is going to have another great year...and let's not even think that  next year he will be a big ol' kindergartner!

BFF Playdate

Okay, so I'm a little behind on the blog, but I'm catching up...it's football season, so there isn't a whole lot of free time :)  Back at the end of July, one of my best friends, Misty, came home to Dallas for a visit with her girls.  We don't always get much time to visit when she comes home, but this time we had a whole day for a "BFF Playdate!"  Misty and the girls got to our house in the morning and my other BFF, Seana and her daughter, Kacie, came over the spend the day with us as well.  It was crazy, fun times :)  5 kids, 3 besties, Misty has twin girls, Hannah and Hayley that are just one week younger than Jake.  Her youngest Sarah Beth and Kacie are just days apart as well.  It was fun seeing them all together!

He wasn't too sure what to think of his house being taken over by girls at first, so he was a little shy.
Kacie and Sarah Beth found the hula hoops.

Then Hannah and Hayley had a turn.

Jake was still just playing with his trucks :)

Hayley finally for Jake to start playing

We attempted a group picture before naptime...it took just a few tries :)

We spread the 5 kids out for naps and most of them actually slept, not everyone did so it got a little crazy the rest of the day :)  But it did give the three of us big girls a little bit of time for some 'girl talk' without the kids around.

Stephen was home after work and Uncle Jason came over for a pizza party.  We were just missing Cecil Ray who had to stay home in Louisiana and work.
Then it was back to playing: me and Hannah!
 Hugs for Auntie Seana

 Fun times!

"Girl talk" for the little girls :)
Jake got Hannah to help him tackle his Daddy

Then the kids all started chasing each other around and around the living room, they had a serious case of the sillies!

Measuring to see who is taller:  Hannah has Jake by a few inches.
 The besties :)
A group picture...Jake said "no thanks!"
Misty and the girls spent the night at our house before heading home the next morning.  Here are the kids in their pjs watching a quick show before bedtime.
