Tyler and Son Lawncare

The cutest lawnboys showed up at my house today :) Stephen's mission today was to clean out the front flower beds and trim the hedges. I took Jake shopping with me so that he would be out of Daddy's way...because this boy has to be wherever his Daddy is! The minute we turned into the drive, Jake was yelling, "I want to help Daddy! I want to help Daddy!" We had to run inside and get his rake and lawnmower so that he could 'help.'

I'm pretty sure all he was doing was making a bigger mess for Stephen to clean up, but he looked so cute doing it!

Having so much fun
I guess his little rake wasn't getting the job done, so he switched over to the big rake.

Wouldn't you like to hire them??? :)

Playdate With Our Best Friends!

On Monday, my best friend, Misty, texted me to say she was coming into town later in the week and wanted to get together with our other best friend, Seana, and all the kids for a playdate. I was SO excited because we aren't able to see each other nearly as often as we would all like to. So, Wednesday after school everyone came over and we all had so much fun!

Here is a group shot: Seana and Kacie, Misty and Hannah, Hayley, and Sarah Beth, me and Jake.I took a lot of pictures, but most of them are all 'action shots.' It was pretty crazy with three 2 1/2 year olds (Jake and twins are 1 week apart) and two 1 year olds (Kacie and Sarah Beth turned 1 last week!)

Once everyone got here, we dug into some pizza! We brought Jake's play table downstairs for the 'big kids' to eat at. Jake was SO excited to see Hannah and Hayley. He even skinned up his knees (AGAIN) running down the driveway when they got here. I love how much they love each other, even though they don't get to see each other many times a year. Jake has always been able to tell Hannah and Hayley apart, even when they were really little.

Hannah looks a whole bunch like her daddy here :)
The new 1year olds! Kacie and Sarah Beth were exploring everything!

Hayley

Sweet Sarah Beth, I hadn't seen her since she was just a baby!

Jake did pretty well sharing his toys with all the girls.

Aunt Misty and all the girls

Kacie really like the piano, she definitely has her mama's love for music.

Hannah and Jake playing doctors.

Jake and Hayley playing firefighters

Hayley thought Auntie Seana needed a hat.

Hannah saying 'cheese!'

Jake would not take a picture with me, so this is all I got.

He is really making a fashion statement with that hat!

Jake and Hannah

Giving himself a 'shot'...in the mouth? Not too sure he will make a very good doctor.

I was trying to get a picture with Sarah Beth, but Jake was not too happy about someone else sitting in Mommy's lap!

Auntie Seana with Hannah...I think...:)

Miss Hayley in the ballpit

I finally got one with Sarah Beth!

And then it got really crazy because Jake wanted the tent and tunnel out...here they are all piled in.

I think he was trying to impress the girls with his guitar skills.

We had so much fun that before we knew it, it was past everyone's bedtime. Since it was a 'school night' we had to say good-bye to everyone. Jake was NOT happy and cried for a little bit once everyone went home. He definitely loves his 'cousins' a bunch!

Bluebonnet time in Texas!

One of my favorite things about living in Texas is the tradition of Bluebonnet pictures each Spring! Last year Jake wasn't super excited about getting out in the flowers, but this year he was all about it and we got some great pictures.

There is an open field in our neighborhood that just fills up with bluebonnets each year. We went today while dinner was cooking and it was gorgeous!

Stephen was explaining to Jake why bluebonnets were special and that we could not pick any.

I'm guessing Jake's inner monologue was this, "So, I can't pick the flowers....is that a challenge?"

Easing into the field

Oh, the fun faces they learn at school!

This one is my favorite!

Jake was done saying 'cheese' and was off, running through the field. He is so fast, it was hard to keep up to take pictures!

Jake and Daddy

A sweet lady took a family picture for us...we weren't planning on it, so Stephen and I really don't match, but I still like it!
He's off again!

Stephen's favorite :)

He sat down a few times and you could barely see his blonde head peaking out of the top.

Can you find him?
Okay, we may or may not have broken the law...my boss said you are allowed to pick ONE, so we did. And it is for educational purposes, I am taking it in to show my class tomorrow at school.
