Happy 8 months birthday sweet boy! Can you please stop growing so fast?!?!
Here are all the pictures from his 8 month 'photo shoot.' It was definitely more challenging this month getting him to sit still and not trying to climb out of the chair. This boy is all about trying to crawl, pull up, and just be mobile!

Okay, so last month I went to do his post and I had almost no pictures! Poor second child! I felt so bad and so this month I have been doing my best to take more pictures. It's going to be a long post ;)
Here are the boys on Texas/OU weekend. Cody's outfit was a little small, but it was the same one that Jake wore for his first Texas/OU game so I had him wear it anyways.
Cody has been ALL about the finger foods this month! He will still eat his baby food, but he is following in Jake's footsteps and would much rather have table food. I have a bunch of pictures of the things he has eaten this month. If I had time I would put them all together at this point in the post, but poor Cody, they are going to be all over. So here he is with some green beans, they were his first 'official' table food. He has them almost everyday for lunch.
And of course, puffs. He can now feed himself! Way to go fine motor skills!
I got these fun shots early one morning after a bottle.
One of my favorite things to do this month, is just to sit back and watch Cody play. I love watching him flip, turn, twist, and explore his toys. I love seeing what he picks to play with and just watch his expressions while he does. Just like Jake, he loves to flip his toys upside down and play with the bottom side of things. These blocks and drums are some of his favorite toys right now.
I got this little scooter down from the top of the closet. Cody has more fun playing next to it than on it right now.

More finger foods. This time he got to try avocado and he loved it! It made a big mess, but that's part of the fun.
One night in the bathtub he did this, too cute for words! And he knew it was funny because he kept doing it and laughing at himself!
He had his first 'boo boo.' He has started lunging forward to grab things and trying to get up on all 4s. Well, he was playing next to his wooden activity cube and bonk! He caught his eye right on the edge of it. Poor baby! I tried to put an ice pack on it, but he wasn't having that! Thankfully, by the next morning he was just fine.
He loves to sit next to his toy basket and tip it over so that he is surrounded by toys. He will sit there and just play and play and play. I love watching him! Okay, that sounds bad...of course, I play with him too, it's just fun to watch what he picks out and how he interacts with everything. He is a real little person now and I love watching his personality develop.
He loves having apple slice and other fruits in his mesh feeder. He really likes banana, but bananas do not like his tummy for now.

He is starting to get curious about his spoons and likes to hold one during meals or just play with one while I am getting dinner ready.
Another favorite right now is a plastic water bottle. I think it's mostly the sound and texture, but he sure has fun when he plays with it.
More mesh feeder fun. In these pictures you can really see his little eczema spot on his cheek! I have been trying and trying to get it cleared up; every time I do, it just flares back up again. Ugh!
First real carrots, and yes, he liked those too
We went for a walk around the park and he was staring down the swings. We decided to check them out for the first time and he had so much fun!
Cody LOVES Daisy! He stops whatever he is doing whenever she comes in the room and will just smile at her and get so excited. If he is eating and hears her come in the kitchen, he turns his head every which way until he can find her. Jake was aware of Daisy, but nothing like this. I have a feeling once he really gets crawling, Ms Daisy is in lots of trouble!

We took these sweet pictures one Sunday after church. Without knowing it, I bought coordinating shirts for the boys and they both wore them to church. My sweet, sweet boys!
Introducing Tooth #3!
Towards the end of the month, this started happening! Seriously Cody, slow down! And excuse Captain Underpants in the background, poor Jake!
Once his first top tooth started poking through, 3 more started coming in...yes this poor baby has 4 teeth coming in, all at the same time!

I feel like Cody has changed so much over the past month! Time is flying and I am trying to hold on to all the precious 'baby' moments he has left. Here are things I want to remember about Cody this month:
-He is in size 18m clothes, mostly. He can still wear a few 12m things and can also wear a few 24m things, just depends on the style/brand of the clothes.
-Still in size 4 diapers
-We have a pretty good schedule going most days. He takes 5 bottles a day and eats 3 meals a day. He wakes up around 6:30 each morning, with breakfast around 7:00. He is back down for a nap between 9-9:30, depending on what time he woke up and sleeps for about an hour and a half. Lunch around 11:00. Nap/another bottle around 1:30 and I typically have to wake him up to go get Jake from school around 2:15. He used to go back to sleep in the car, but that doesn't happen much anymore. I think he has figured out that we are going to get his best buddy and he is gets too excited to go back to sleep. Bottle around 4:30, dinner at 5:00. We start bath/bedtime between 6:00-6:30 and he is takes a bottle at bedtime and is usually asleep by 7:00.
-I was dreading the time change because it was brutal on Jake as a baby. However, Cody took it like a champ. Seriously, it was like nothing had changed at all. Your rock, Cody Glenn!
-The best change this month is that he is sleeping MUCH MUCH better at night! Hallelujah, Amen! I started working on putting him down awake and him settling himself. (I don't do the cry it out, sleep training thing. I just felt like he was ready.) He does pretty well on getting himself to sleep if I catch him before he gets too tired. He still loves his pacifier for sleep only...not looking forward to tackling that task soon. He is sleeping much more soundly too, sleeping through the night most nights and staying asleep once we put him down. No more crazy, fussy time from 9-11! Woot woot!
-He is very mobile and getting so close to crawling. He can easily get himself onto all 4s and lunges forward from a sitting position to reach anything and everything. Since he is a man on a mission, he is no longer a fun of his Jumperoo. He may play for about 5 minutes if I put him in it, but that's it. We will be packing it up soon I think.
-He continues to be just a happy, happy little guy and I love getting to see his personality more and more every day. He is so easy going and content. He loves his big brother so much and still wants to be wherever he is, doing whatever he is doing. He loves playing peek-a-boo, singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider and the Alphabet.
