Cody is 10 months old!

It's hard to believe, but our little Cody-man is 10 months old!  You've hit the double digits big guy!
Here are pics of Cody on his 10 month 'birthday.'  Each month it gets harder and harder to get him to sit still in his chair for pictures.

Here is our look back at the past month; in addition to celebrating your first Christmas and taking your first plane ride to Chicago, December was a very fun month.

Your fascination with Daisy continues.  It is fun to watch you sit and play intently with a toy and then abruptly turn and crawl to where Daisy is to check out whatever she is doing...even if it is just napping, which is what she is doing 90% of the day.  You love waking you big sister up and she never complains, the poor thing!
whatcha doin' Daisy?

Sometimes we take selfies to make the fussy baby go away ;)

Here is one of Cody's new tricks...he is getting a lot better at 'standing' next to things.  He can pull up on some toys/furniture, but not everything yet.

Caught in the act: wake up and play Daisy!

So proud of himself.

Come on, get up and play!

He finally gives up and checks out the toys and books by the fireplace.

Practicing his standing skills

Your book basket has become one of your favorite things.  I am pretty sure that you recognize the word 'book'  You love to go through your basket book by book.  Sometimes you like to look at them by yourself, other times you 'call' me over to read them to you.  We can sit for an hour and read together and you never grow tired of it.  I hope your love of reading continues for you entire life!

Since you are now an explorer,  one of your favorite discoveries is your brothers train table.  You love to go 'Godzilla' on his tracks and destroy whatever is built on top...which Jake just looooves.  You are almost equally content playing in the bucket of train track pieces, usually chewing on the pieces.  Who knew tracks made good teethers?

Love this sweet smile
A lazy Saturday morning.  You love sitting on your brothers feet, you just can't get close enough to him.

And some more Daisy lovins

These pics are blurry, but I love the shots of you and your 'Bo' playing together.  He loves making you laugh.

Major Daddy 'think face' going on here.  We only thought Jake looked like Stephen...Cody is such a carbon copy!
You LOVED all the Christmas decorations, especially the tree. I was very surprised that you never tried to get into the presents a single time.

Here is another fun fact, you LOVE LOVE LOVE the vacuum cleaner.  If we ever get bored or you are fussy, we vacuum!

Sometimes explorers get stuck under train tables.
He loves his sippy cup.  Right now I am just putting water in it.

 He loves his crawl-though house

 Scooter time!

On the move!
You love knocking over towers.  If it's stacked, you want to knock it down!
The fireplace hearth is your favorite spot to practice pulling/standing up.

You have discovered the playroom and love checking out all of brother's cool toys.

You discovered Daisy's dog door on Christmas day.  You haven't tried to crawl through it yet, but you think it's fun to stick your hands out and open it to feel the cold hair on your face.  Jake has decided it is his job to block you from the dog door.  Y'all have a game that you play trying to get by him.

Here are me and the boys playing football on playstation one morning that Stephen had soccer practice.  The adventures of being a boymom!

You are looking so big these days Mr. Cody Wafody...I have started planning your birthday party...how is that even possible???

 Dinnertime fun

Here was the sight one evening as I franctically got dinner made:  my beautiful mess that I know I will miss beyond words one day.

 Breakfast is so funny!

Here are all the things I want to remember about you this month:
-You have tried a few new foods: broccoli, cornbread, peaches, graham crackers, and meat!  You have had Italian beef, meatball, chicken & pasta, and turkey lunchmeat.  You don't get it every day yet, but what you have had so far, you have liked.
-You are about done with baby food.  I have started buying your the food pouches and you really like them, but more and more you just want table food. Your favorites are:  broccoli, green beans, carrots, bananas, cheerios, cheese, beans, berries.
-You can easily get up onto your knees and cruise from toy to toy.  You can pull up on a few things, but aren't doing it routinely yet.  If I help you stand next to the couch or a toy, you will.  You just don't pull up on them by yourself yet.
-Sleeping has once again become a hit or miss thing...seriously kid, it's been almost a year, your Dad and I sure would love some consistent sleep!  He will have a few good nights in a row, but most of the time we are up 2-3 times a night.  The frustrating part is that you can put yourself back to sleep and you do sometimes, yet, we still have nightly cuddle sessions.  The even tougher part is that you still want to be up on our shoulder and bounced, not rocked.  We have had some middle of the night battle of the wills over this, it's not a whole lot of fun.  I know it's just a phase and it will seem like a blur looking back in a few years, but right now...it feels like FOREVER!
-When you are falling asleep, you make this growling noise.  It's hard to describe, but we know you are asleep when you get quiet :)
-You are still in a size 4 diaper and 18 month clothes.  ou
-Just this week your schedule is starting to change, you are still taking 2 naps a day and 4 bottles a day with 3 set meals and snacks in between.
-You are becoming more interested in your bigger toys: the walker, music table, activity cube, little people farm house, crawl though house.
You love all books, but your favorites now are Hop on Pop, Barnyard Dance, I Love You Through and Through, anything with babies
-You. love. Elmo.  I get to shower thanks to Elmo's World clips on Youtube.  The 17 minute one about birthdays is the perfect amount of time for me to shower and dry my hair!
-Your little personality is showing through more and more each day: you are still a sweetheart and a laid back little dude, but oh my you are a stubborn boy.  You have started throwing fits/getting mad if you don't get to have what you want.  You are also starting to show signs of separation anxiety at church or when Daddy or Bo leave.
-Your hair is getting long and it is so curly in the back!
