Jake's New Wheels

This week Jake got his first car :) One of the coaches at Stephen's school very generously gave us his son's motorized jeep. We knew Jake would LOVE it. It needed a new battery, but Papaw got it working for us and on Thusday, Stephen told Jake he was bringing home a big surprise. After dinner, I snuck outside and rang the doorbell and when Jake opened the door, his jeep was waiting for him. He was one excited little boy!

Stephen gave him a quick lesson on how to drive it

I thought he might be a little scared at first, but of course he wasn't!

Yes, he jumped a curb after all of 30 seconds.

Soon, he was crusising our cul-de-sac like a pro!

This boy is in heaven!

His jeep has a walkie talkie that also has a siren on it, very cool. We were cracking up because Jake wrapped it around himself like it was his seatbelt...at least he knows to buckle up!

Soon he was doing donuts like a pro.

His car is now his most favorite thing in the world, so thank you so so much Coach Z! He was outside for 2 hours last night driving it around the cul-de-sac with all the neighborhood kids. And for a 2 year old to do anything for 2 hours, that is true love :)
