As expected, our littles were up bright and early Christmas morning...it's hard to be mad when they are so cute and so excited! Cody was up first so we had some snuggle time in mommy and daddy's room while we waited for Bro to wake up.
And then the crazy was unleashed...Jake went straight for his stocking and Cody went straight for his present from Santa.
Jake's Stocking:
a new watercolor set
Spiderman cup
He also had a dinosaur coloring book, dinosaur stamp set, a Charlie Brown book that you illustrate yourself, ninja turtle notebook, and I think that's it...Santa didn't do candy this year.
My best attempt at Cody's picture with his Santa gift
Jake was very excited and wanted to open his game immediately!
Cody's stocking: he got puffs, baby mum-mums, a new sippy cup, and two Christmas board books
Cody was ALL over the place, so Daddy helped him pose for a picture with his brother
My boys!
Christmas breakfast, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, bacon, and cookies!
Love my babies!
Oh look, I did go back and get nice stocking pictures!
Time for presents!!!!
How to Train Your Dragon 2
New Dinosaur shirt for my dino-boy
Cody, still working on the same present ;)
It took a while, but he finally got his puppy opened...you can guess how happy Jake was to wait patiently for Cody to open his gift.
A new dress shirt
Planes paint sets
Cody got a tap-a-tune piano
Jake decided it was too warm for his pj top...I'm surprised we kept him in it that long. At least he isn't in his undies :)
Bears hoodie from Mamaw
In true baby fashion, Cody was WAY more excited about the wrapping paper than actually opening his gifts.
New pants!
Dinosaur sticker and activity book
And of all days, this happened...Cody discovered the dog door, on Christmas Day!
No escaping Cody!
Paw Patrol board game
The boys got me a new scarf and ear warmers for my trip to NYC next month
The boys got Stephen "When the Game Stands Tall"
Stephen and I were boring this year and didn't wrap gifts for each other...he bought me my plane ticket to NYC as my birthday/Christmas/anniversary present. I told him he could go shopping for cowboy boots. Christmas was really all about the boys this year.
Connect 4
Stephen, trying to contain the crazy
Cody got Jake the safari animal set he has been wanting.
Cody was done playing with the wrapping paper, he was all over!
Spiderman basketball set
Great Grandma Rohmer got this singing Christmas dog for Cody and he LOVES it!
Jake got Cody this football and a Ninja board book
After all that excitement, it was time for a morning nap. Sweet baby love!
We got ourselves cleaned up and attempted to get ready to go to Dad and Brenda's house for Christmas dinner and presents. Plumbing issues created some chaos and we finally got ourselves over there and had a wonderful time.
Uncle Dave and Jake playing on the ipad
Papaw and Granna always have stocking for the grandkids.
Uncle Dave and Aunt Pooh got bible story board books for Cody
Excited boy!
Because of all the crazy at our house, we didn't get very dressed up, but here we are. Our first Christmas as a family of 4. Blessed beyond measure!
Papaw and Granna with our half of the grandkids. Brenda's girls and their families weren't able to make it over on Christmas day.
It's too bad they aren't proud grandparents or anything
Cody loved playing with this big bell off the tree. I'm not sure who was more tickled by it, Cody or Papaw?
Dessert time!
We didn't stay very late at Dad and Brenda's because we were leaving first thing in the morning for Chicago. We brought Cody home for a late nap and then Jake and Daddy finally broke out MarioKart. The boys played while I did some last minute packing and attempted to get the house back in order before we left in the morning. It was a slightly crazy, but very memorable day.
