End of May/Beginning of June, 2015-Cody turns 15 months old

Life in the Tyler family slowed down considerably at the end of May!  Spring football was over, basketball ended for Jake, and with the end of school coming Jake's weekly homework was pretty much done for the year.  Even better, Cody is almost done cutting all the teeth he has coming in-HALLELUJAH!  Here is all the fun we have been having lately.

One night we were having our first fresh corn on the cob of the season.  I cut some off the cob for Cody, but of course he wanted what everyone else was having-the whole cob.  He was too funny with it.  Eventually, he wound up working the cob as a teether, poor kid!

Just chillin' in the morning with his milk

We have always had a dog door and it wasn't a big deal for Cody.  Well, Stephen put in a new one and it's pretty much his new favorite toy!  He loves to throw his toys out of it, crawl out of it, open and close the door to it.

Peek-a-boo

Another new fun thing, standing on the couch.  Cody has discovered Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and we watch it every morning after breakfast.  This is him dancing to the Hot Dog song!

Classic Cody chill pose
He's a mess
It FINALLY stopped raining in Texas!  After the wettest May ever in history, we are able to get out and walk in the mornings.  WooHoo!
If we don't stop and swing, this one goes nuts
Another of our favorite things is to stop and feed the ducks after school

And we have to stop at Sonic for some happy hour slushes
Morning walks, in our Elmo pjs

These two are Cody's BFFs-Elmo and Bear
Jake got this moustache out of the treasure box at school, not quite the fashion statement we are going for kiddo.
He has grown up so much this year!
Hanging out in Cody's crib-Jake wanted a picture of them together
We went to Jason's Deli after a baseball game one night, Cody loved the ice cream

And we finally were able to bust out all of our summer fun toys in the backyard!  I filled up the water table and couldn't wait to see what Cody thought.

He was SOAKED from head to toe

This face!

I went ahead and stripped him down to his diaper

And then in true Cody fashion-he climbed IN to the table.

I finally managed to get Cody out and dressed in some dry clothes.  He was not done being outside and wanted to swing.  I think both boys would swing all day if I let them.

Walks, walks,and more walks
Spring football is over, but football is never truly over for our family.  Tis the season of 7on7 football and linemen challenges.  We went up to West for a night of  7on7 ball and the boys had a blast.

Pretty much our daily routine.  I loved the newborn baby phase, but this summer is already so much more enjoyable with a toddler in the family.  We can go and do so much more!

Cuddled up watching movies

More 7 on 7 football

Trying out a new food-pretzels and hummus-big hit!

Stephen introduced the boys to Siri-she is Cody's new BFF.  He will babble and babble to her.  Poor kid, he doesn't understand why Mama's android phone won't talk back to him.  He loves him some Siri!

Things to remember about Cody at 15(ish) months old:
-You have a TON of new teeth, you went from 6 teeth to 14 over the past 6 weeks.  That was SO  much fun!
-You are starting to say new words:  'at (cat), cah-kuh (cracker), uh-oh, na-na (banana)-which you say like you are growling and it's adorable, and you will 'roar' at pitutres of animals like a lion/tiger or at any of Jake's dinosaurs.  You created your own baby sign for when you want us to take something apart/take something off (like a marker cap)
-You have made some progress in the walking department, but you still aren't there yet buddy.  You take 3-5 steps on your own, but haven't taken off completely.  You will walk all over with someone holding your hands or with your little push walker.  I'm sure it's getting closer to that point though.  Your doctor isn't worried yet, so we aren't either.  You will get there when you are ready.
-You are sleeping better...when you don't have a million teeth coming in!  You are starting to self sooth in the middle of the night, as long as you can find your pacifier.  Yes, paci is still hanging around.  I would be the worst mother in the world to yank it away in the middle of all those teeth coming in.  We are about to go on vacation and after that we are going to see how you are doing.
-You love to 'feed' us at meal times.  You will take food off your plate and hold it up for us to bite.  Sometimes you fake us out and pull your hand away and laugh.  Sometimes you take the bite out of your mouth and try to feed us, it's pretty gross dude!
-Your favorite foods haven't changed much:  blackberries, cheese stick, avacado, green beans, peas, carrots, banana...you have tried peanut butter and jelly and love it.
-At your 15 month well visit you were 29.6 lbs and 34 in long-99% for both-wow!
Your nap schedule is pretty much the same, from about 10-12.  Although, now that school is out I'm hoping we can get your nap pushed back until after lunch time.
-Your favorite toys are still books, cars, blocks, and climbing everything!
