Cody is 9 months old

Cody Glenn, you are a whole 9 months old!  I can't believe it is almost time to start planning your birthday.  This year has flown by and you continue to be the sweetest little boy.

Here are pictures from your 9 month birthday.  You were cutting teeth, so you weren't quite at 100%, but you are still a cutie pie!

 Eyebrows!

  What's over here?

 I won't sit still!

The nice thing about this past month is that you have gotten a lot more time with Daddy.  We love football season, but it sure is nice to have him home with time to play with you and Jake every night before bedtime.  You get so excited when he comes home every night.

Peek-a-boo

Crawling position
When I need to get laundry put away in your room, you play in your crib.  This typically means that you destroy your bumper, which is highly entertaining to you!

And then you started doing this, hello over there!  So, we have now lowered your crib down to the lowest position.  Your Dad and I are already predicting that you will be our escape artist.
Black beans continue to be a favorite and you sure love to make a mess when you chow down on them.

 Play time

Sweet face!

 Getting up on your knees

Chewing on your high chair buckle

You LOVE your big sister, Daisy.  She is so patient with you because you love to tug on her face, ears, feet, fur.  You think it is very funny to sneak up on her in her dog bed when she is sleeping.  Poor girl, she doesn't get many good naps anymore.

I found this cute little reindeer at Target this month

These are pics from your first taste of pasta, a big hit.

Showing off your sippy cup skills.  You prefer the cups with a straw and figured out how to suck the water up after just a few tries.

Spaghetti is so funny!

 Strawberries!

Football make excellent teething toys

He loves drinking water at snack time.
This month you also started taking 'big boy' baths in the bathtub.  Mostly because you were trying to crawl out of your baby bathtub.  You went to town splashing and exploring the tub.

You can hold your own bottle, but you prefer for me to hold it and you 'steer' it left and right while you eat.

Since you were taking baths in the tub, you got to start taking baths with your brother.  It's a little crazy and definitely a two person job, but you both have so much fun!

A quick video from their first bath together
And this is what it's like when you have coach's kids....they wear helmets to swing

Some more shots of him trying to pull up

Trying pasta with marinara sauce, yum!  And some peas, too.

-Your official stats at your 9 month well visit were:  30 inches long (99%) and 25.2 lbs (99%)  It's hard to tell, but you are leaning out and losing some of your baby rolls as you have become more mobile.  You are on the growth chart for weight for the fist time.
-You are in size 4 diapers, and 18m tops/onesies, 24m pants...it varies a little depending on the store/brand
-You have tried lots of new finger foods this month and definitely prefer feeding yourself, but will also still eat 'baby food' puree at each meal.  New foods you have tried this month:  yogurt, string cheese, toast, cheerios, a little meat here and there, dinner rolls, corn, peaches,
-You can drink water out of a sippy cup.  Once the craziness of the holidays passes, I will start working on presenting it more so that hopefully you will be done with bottles around your first birthday, like your brother!
-You have 6 teeth!  You got all 4 top teeth in a 2 week span and it was NOT a fun time around here.  Your sleep patterns got disrupted and it's hard to tell, but you seemed to have a cold/upper respiratory crud the same time as teething.  When you went for your well visit you ear was a little pink as well,  I think it was all tied in to teething, but Dr. Sadler says that there isn't a link.
-You are CRAWLING!  Watch out world!  I told you that you had to wait until football season was over and THE very next day you took off.  You are gaining confidence and crawling further and further distances.  It's been an adjustment for big brother too, he has too be very careful about what he leaves out and plays with while you are awake.  He seems to always want to play with his toys that have the littlest pieces around you!  And of course, you just want to be by him at all times!
-As I am finally getting details on the blog you are 9 1/2 months and you are saying 3 words "Dad, that, and Bo (your name for Jake)  Still no Mama!
-You are napping twice a day morning and afternoon, but now sometimes you nap after we pick up Jake, just depends on when you get up from your morning nap.  I still try to get you down before though because you HATE napping when you know your brother is home.  You get very mad about having to go to your room and will call for him as I try to rock you to sleep.  He is your very best buddy, for sure.
-You can get yourself into a sitting position all on your own.  You are pulling up onto your knees.  If I help you, you will pull up all the way to standing and can balance that way if you have something to hold onto like your activity cube or your brother's train table.

Here is video of the boys during their first bath together
