Halloween 2010

Catching up: October 31, 2010. Jake is 16 months old.

The Tyler Family had a pretty boring Halloween this year :) I debated about whether or not to dress Jake up, but eventually decided not to. We really didn't have any Halloween events to attend and I didn't want to spend money on a costume he would only wear for an hour or so. I know we have lots of fun years of trick-or-treating ahead of us and we still had a fun night as a family.

We live on a cul-de-sac, so once it got dark, we all headed outside and popped down the tailgate to Stephen's truck. We hopped in and passed out candy as the kids came by. Jake did really well...he actually sat still for about an hour, which is a pretty big deal at this phase!

Okay, so he did try to climb out one or two times :)

cheese!

Jake and Daddy played 'trick or treat' over and over.

Stephen, 'sampling,' the candy.

He was having so much fun playing it...but he wanted nothing to do with passing out candy when the kids actually came by!

What kept him really entertained was a Twix bar and the wheel-hub. The Twix bar became a car and the hub, a race track. Have I mentioned that we are obsessed with cars right now?

Ready, set...

Go!
It was a fun night, and I can't wait for our first trick-or-treating next year!
